Law Clerk Responsibilities

Law Clerk responsibilities include assisting lawyers in trial preparation, legal writing, legal research, medical record reviews, writing demand settlement brochures, and interviewing witnesses.

Law Clerks also have the opportunity to attend and assist in depositions and trials, mock trials, focus groups, motion practice sessions, facilitations, and case evaluations.

Law Assistant | Sacramento Law Firm Job Opportunity

The Personal Injury Legal Assistant position requires an energetic, organized and disciplined individual who is able to work well under time constraints. This position also requires strong case management skills. Candidates should have the ability to see the bigger picture while managing the small every day details. Required duties may include calendaring deadlines, scheduling depositions, responding and propounding discovery, preparing documents for expert review, meeting with clients, preparing exhibits and witness lists for trial, strategizing cases with the attorneys, and other duties as assigned. Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills are a must.

Preferred Skills:

Administrative and practical legal skills
Excellent communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing
Competency in word processing, databases and email
Ability to organize, monitor, and track numerous ongoing and one-time activities
Ability and initiative to logically solve problems with little supervision

Law Clerk Intern | Sacramento Law Firm Job Opportunity

We invite you to take advantage of our file clerk internship opportunity. This is a temporary internship position with our personal injury law firm based in Sacramento. This can be a full-time or part-time position.

The ideal candidate is confident, knowledgeable about the law, and possesses great organizational skills. Legal research knowledge is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under tight deadlines are crucial.

Primary responsibilities include: data entry, scanning and copying, faxing, mailing, and filing.

Secondary responsibilities include:

Maintaining client files – creating and organizing files, updating files for changes in status
Closing files- preparing files for transfer to offsite storage
Assisting professional legal staff with administrative projects as requested

This is a non-paid internship. However, it provides valuable work experience for a person who is anxious to get real-life law firm experience in a friendly and challenging environment. We also offer our interns a letter of recommendation from our principal attorney upon successful internship completion.
We are looking for people of excellent character who possess a good work ethic and are self-driven.
